About Peter
Peter holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorTM designation, which provides him with the resources and experience to offer a structured and systematic approach to retirement and lifestyle income planning. He uses a consultative process to gain a detailed understanding of his clients' deepest values and goals. He then develops customized recommendations that may include investment options intended to support each client's unique needs.
Peter built his practice around a simple principle: every client deserves a financial strategy designed specifically around their goals, circumstances and long-term objectives. He approaches each relationship an emphasis on thoughtful oversight, disciplined processes and advice delivered with a long term perspective aligned with your stated objectives.
Peter has focused on providing wealth management solutions to high-net-worth individuals and accredited investors. Many of his clients are business owners, executives, and families seeking clarity around portfolio strategy and long-term objectives as they navigate complex financial decisions.
Over his 30-year career, Peter built a successful wealth management practice at Oppenheimer & Co. in New York before establishing Sarner Wealth Management in 2007. In addition to being a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorTM, Peter is a registered principal, registered supervisor, and life insurance agent.
Peter is married and has three children. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, fishing, tennis, soccer and biking. He values traveling with his family - especially to the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site in northern Italy.
